About the role:

As a property caretaker (fastighetsskötare) with our family-owned property company in Motala, you will enjoy a varied role with significant personal responsibility. Your days will be a mix of indoor and outdoor maintenance, handling repair requests from tenants and performing on-site actions – everything from minor adjustments to practical repairs.

Examples of tasks:

• Troubleshooting and fixing issues in apartments and buildings (e.g., blocked drains, broken white goods, sticking doors).
• Minor plumbing and carpentry work, such as installing interior fittings (shower screens, bathroom cabinets, kitchen details), spackling, painting, and minor surface renovations upon move-out.
• Sealing with silicone around countertops and similar tasks.
• Adjustments and minor repairs within the buildings.
• Outdoor maintenance: trimming bushes and trees, clearing walkways to maintain general order (note: lawn mowing is handled by an external service).

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We would like you to:

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is practical, has the right attitude, and is driven. It is a plus if you also:

• Have experience as a craftsman, property caretaker, handyman/handywoman, or similar.
• Have a background in construction, plumbing, electrical work, sheet metal, or another practical trade (meritorious, but not a requirement).
• Are self-motivated and take initiative when you see what needs to be done.
• Have good social skills and enjoy interacting with tenants.
• Are comfortable with varied tasks and eager to learn new things.

Other details:

• Consultancy assignment for 6 months.
• Great opportunity for conversion to a permanent position with the client.
• Access to a service vehicle.

Start date: Flexible, but we prefer a start date of August 1st or September 1st.
